1.2 Documents Uploaded
We process documents you upload—such as commercial invoices, packing lists, and bills of lading—which may contain personal or sensitive information.
1.3 Usage Data
We collect information on how the service is accessed and used. This Usage Data may include details such as your computer's Internet Protocol address (e.g., IP address), browser type, browser version, our service pages that you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages, unique device identifiers, and other diagnostic data.
1.4 Connecting an Email
If you choose to connect an email inbox (e.g., Gmail, Outlook) to Passage, we collect and process:
Email metadata (e.g., sender, recipient, subject, timestamps) needed to surface messages within your workflows.
Email bodies and attachments only for messages that match workflows you create (e.g., “extract bills of lading from supplier emails”).
Drafts and response suggestions that we generate on your behalf.
A limited corpus of prior sent emails you designate, which we store to model your writing style and improve draft quality. You can delete this corpus at any time from your account settings.
We do not send emails on your behalf. Passage writes drafts into the same thread for your review and manual send-off.
2. How We Use Your Information
Your information is used to provide and improve our services. Specifically, we use information to:
Create and manage user accounts
Process documents through our platform and third-party services, including OpenAI's Assistants API
Respond to inquiries and offer support
Understand how our services are used to improve them
Communicate with you about service updates, offers, and promotional content that may be of interest to you, subject to your consent where required by law
Scan connected emails for information and attachments strictly within the workflows you configure.
Identify which emails may require a response and generate contextual drafts using your stored writing style
Respond to inquiries and provide customer support.
3. Sharing Your Information
We may share your information with third parties in the following ways:
3.1 Third-Party Service Providers
We engage third-party companies and individuals to facilitate our service (e.g., data analysis, email delivery, hosting services) and to assist us in analyzing how our service is used. These third parties have access to your Personal Information only to perform these tasks on our behalf and are obligated not to disclose or use it for any other purpose.
3.2 Compliance with Laws
We may disclose your information where required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities (e.g., a court or a government agency).
3.3 Business Transfer

We never sell or otherwise share connected-email content for advertising or marketing purposes. You retain full rights to your email information, including the ability to delete any stored email information upon request.
